Isn’t It Time Americans Wised Up, And Stopped Buying Chinese Consumer Products?
How can the individuals suffering from a faltering economy justify spending hundreds of billions of dollars annually to buy products from the fastest growing economy in the world? Look at the trade deficit, and you will clearly understand where American purchasing power and the strength of the US economy has gone.http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/bala…
Note that the trade imbalance for the years 2007-2009 totals US$700billion!!!
Why ask the US government to come up with $700 billion in economic relief if US citizens are so willingly sending all the money to help China’s swelling economy (a totalitarian regime which has more than doubled the strength of its armed forces in the past decade)?
It certainly appears that US citizens are funding the PLA. Why? Do you wish you children to be ordered to learn Chinese instead of English in school?
Wouldn’t it be better to simply STOP BUYING ALL “Made in China” products?
You have the power to stop this lunacy. IMHO: I suggest you start using it.

I avoid buying anything made in China, as much as humanly possible.
I’ve been doing this since Bill Clinton signed some “free trade” agreement with China & overnight everything seemed to be made in China.
I like buying stuff made in countries that need our support to enter the modern era, like Pakistan, and every non-totalitarian country in Central and South America.
Let me explain to you why your theory, although good, is not sustainable in a free market society.
1: Can you produce the goods that china is producing and that too at a competitive rates? my guess is a big no.
2: The market is determined by demand and supply. If we stop purchasing from these Chines products, the prices of the most ordinary goods will hit roof-top.Wal-Mart purchase more than 10 billion dollars worth of goods from china.
3:My guess is if we stop using chines goods, each of will have to spend a minimum of 15-20% more on the same products. Are the people of US ready and accept?
Make no mistake, I am not a Chines sympathizer, but just providing details to show with your idea is not sustainable in a long run.
