They don’t have to say thank you. They own us. We did this to ourselves.

    I can’t figure out what you’re asking.
If you move your company to China, you still earn income from the company.
And if the Chinese want to duplicate a US company’s business model in China, they don’t have to wait for the company to relocate to China first. They can figure out what the company is doing while it’s still in the U.S.

My below statement is only suggestion NO offense to anyone please do not take it personally
The business ethic in China is very low compare to other countries this is true no offense.
Even Chinese in other countries such as Taiwan / Singapore / Malaysia are extra careful when they are deciding whether or not to move their production line into mainland not to mention western countries folks.
The only way to prevent this from happening is
DO NOT move the R&D there thats the most important one …
Only hire people in the management level / personnel that responsible for technical part in the production from people you trust – i suggest to hire employee not within China for this one. (eg workers from singapore/malaysia/taiwan/hongkong)
If your production line might expose your specialty and you are afraid that they might be copy/ learn by them i would suggest you not to move your factory to China… at least not now unless you have very strict employment management / policy that could ensure your rights.
The world is moving to free trade, if this happens then the high tax would be waived and the cost of importing would be highly decrease, lets hope our leaders could negotiate with China and we hope that they could open their market to free trade soon ..

It is foolish and short-sighted of businesses to do that.
China does not respect patents or intellectual property rights; that has been proven time and time again.

Because the Chinese don’t charge corporations HUGE taxes like the U.S. does… they don’t try to limit executive pay like the U.S. does…

Because the American owners like it, it mutually beneficial to exploit the workers and environment of China.

In order to pay less taxes and take advantage of fewer regulations.
