Would The Average Chinese Person Believe Me If I Say I’m Not “anti-china”…..?

Published by David.Ge under About China And Chinese

…… just because I dislike some of the Chinese government’s policies?
Would it be generally accepted that “China” and “Chinese government” are NOT the same thing? I mean, China as a country existed long before (and will probably exist long after) the current government.
I am a person of Chinese descent living in Australia.

My Wife Is Chinese And Is Working In China. I Am Indian & What Kind Of Visa Do I Have To Apply?

Published by David.Ge under About China And Chinese

Will I be able to apply for D-Visa? I was told by the embassy official that I need to apply for tourist visa, but it would be single entry for a duration of 3 months, and each visit I can only stay only one month at a stretch. Do they have a long term visa?

Before March, 1938 Japanese had slughtered over 350,000 people, beheading, raping and torturing, and massacring. Roosevelt shut off their oil from USA in summer of 1941!!! What Do The Mainland Chinese Really Think Of Their Government?

Published by David.Ge under About China And Chinese

Recently, with all the anti-China protests going on in relation to Tibet wherever the Olympic flame was passing through, you did sometimes get quite a vocal pro-China contingent as well (in San Francisco for example).
When Chinese people in China are asked on camera what their feelings are concerning the Tibet issue, they give an answer quite in favour of their own government.
China is of course a dictatorship where freedom of expression isn’t exactly encouraged I would imagine. Nonetheless, what do the mainland Chinese really think of their government?

In Billiards, Does A Chinese Person In China Put ‘english’ On A Ball Or ‘chinese’?

Published by David.Ge under About China And Chinese

Neither. Billards is an English game and the term English is not used in reference to the game in the UK. It is an American term only and only used in pool.
In snooker and billiards the different types of spin applied to the cue ball are called top, screw and side.
Top = follow through
Screw = back spin
Side = side spin
