I don’t know what happened. I moved to Canada five years ago, and for me, China wasn’t bad to live in at all (cept for the study part, man I worked hard in school >.<) I never felt like I need to watch what I say or where I go. Why do people think China is evil and is ruled through fear? Is communist party really that bad? China been improving all these years, isn't that enough to say communist rule isn't all that bad? I read some pretty hurtful articles on chinese military parade this year and I just feel bad about how those news media disgrace chinese government like that. My grandpa fought for the party and what he believed in, and many people sacrificed their lives to make China what it is today. And for all those years, chinese as far as I know were never aggressive, never provoke wars and battle. They just been trying to keep the nation together, and somehow they are evil for doing so?!?

Hello, I want to work in China. I was born in Russia, I live in America. I know Russian and I was considering majoring in Chinese and going to China to find some kind of job there. I thought maybe the fact that I had a degree would be worth something and it won’t really matter that I majored in something all Chinese people know. I don’t want to work as a teacher, I would not mind work as a translator/interpreter but I was wondering what else I could have the possibility of doing, or what other possible majors I should be persuing besides Chinese to obtain work in China.
This is neither here nor there but this is my second year of community college, and I have been taking general studies to see what I would like, Chinese was the only class that remotely interested me so It kind of pissed me off when I realized that majoring in it would be worthless.

I am originally from Maumee, Ohio, USA. I have lived in the capital city of Shenyang in China’s bitter cold Liaoning province for the past three years. I am currently studying at the provinicial capital university and majoring in Chinese. What are my job prospects upon graduation? I don’t have experience doing anything else except teaching English and some odd jobs throughout university and highschool in the States. I also have three years of university under my belt in the US with a major in Philosophy.

That is excellent preparation, although I suggest you take international economics or international trade rather than “international relations.”

Will I be able to apply for D-Visa? I was told by the embassy official that I need to apply for tourist visa, but it would be single entry for a duration of 3 months, and each visit I can only stay only one month at a stretch. Do they have a long term visa?

2) How are you?
3) I only speak little Chinese
4) Can you teach me how to speak Chinese?
5) I can teach you English.
6) Thank You
7) See you later
Friend (or any other respectful names)
Please, when you answer my questions, leave the number you are translating, and write down what it means. I appreciate your help. =]
