Why Some Western People Always Look Down On China & Chinese?

I am from China. To tell you the truth, our Chinese are friendly. I wonder why some western people always look down on China & Chinese.
People are so quick to dish out anti-China sentiment. From eating babies to mind control experiments. Admittedly China has a few problems… But China is still developing, we won’t be an evil country at all. The world will be safe. We are now having more and more high-educated people.
We love Americans. Most of us Chinese think of USA as a great place and we don’t hate you at all. We enjoy nike spots shoes, American fast food, computers games from US and much more.
Finally, welcome to Beijing and other parts of China for sightseeing although you will find China may not as modern as th US and other developed countries.

I am over 2′ taller than most of the Asians I have met…
If you are from Hong Kong we would get along better…
The whore houses, heroin dealers, and organized crime scams defrauding the community tend to make things more difficult for 1 generation new comers…
Get involved with the community and you will make more friends and learn to trust not everyone is racist (the local Asians will often give you a harder time)…

I will be honest with you, no country is perfect. The US has it’s problems. Americans don’t like communism. As a communist country the Chinese government has a horrible record for abusing it’s own people. Using labor to make products in slave like conditions while singing the praises of the communist party only adds to the fire. The problem isn’t with china, it’s how the Chinese act and allow themselves to be treated.

I don’t think any Americans look down on the Chinese. The positive perceptions are that Chinese people are friendly and very smart, at least academically. Chinese people are also perceived as being cheap as hell and completely lacking common sense.
Chinese people are also horrible drivers. That’s not perception. That’s a fact.

Because of corporate greed, alot of jobs moved to China and alot of American’s view the Chinese as stealing our jobs, yet we want to pay the wal-mart price, which can only be found in goods from China.

You suck! Your country SUCKS! Stop posting your propaganda!
China has been cited time and again as being one the worst,if not the worst, abusers of labor in the world by the WTO,Amnesty International and others.
China has and does jail human rights activists on a regular basis, including many that push for religious reform. It is considered the worst abuser of human rights in modern times by many groups, including again,Amnesty International.
I know you are censored on what you read and see on the internet(which kind of makes me doubt you’re in China),but plenty of us have seen the videos of teenage girls being executed in groups of six at a time. What kind os nation shoots children in the back of the head in public?
Yahoo, turns people over to your government officials, they have been arrested and in-prisoned.
I seen documentaries, with Pallets stacked almost 6 feet high, with animal skins on them, cats and dogs.I seen caged dogs for food.
I am sure if your playing on yahoo answers your a government official, more censorship. Don’t sound like a democracy to me,pal.

I have no hate for Chinese people but I do not care for the lack of human rights which is practiced by your Government. I don’t like the idea that the company you mentioned “Nike Sports Shoes” moved their manufacturing operations to China in order to take advantage of your unskilled labor. I don’t like the lack of Child Labor Laws in China. I don’t like what happened to the peaceful protesters of Tienanmen Square. I don’t like the repression of free thinkers in China…but I do love to go to Boston and hang out in Chinatown and do get along well with those who are not afraid to talk with me.

Outsourcing to China that has led to reduced earning capacity for American workers combined with dead pets and bad toothpaste.
